Richard Avedon said “My portraits are more about me than they are about the people I photograph.” So, pictures of people speak about people on both sides of the camera. The question is who is best represented – the sitter, the photographer or both? Obviously, all depends on who is shooting and who is being shot. ‘Persona’ is a collection of photographs that represent discrete personality – either of the sitter or of the photographer.
